A couple of months ago, the Hop Culture team announced our biggest East Coast festival yet: Juicy Brews Valentine’s Day. The idea was to orchestrate several world-class events hosted by local businesses in Pittsburgh, PA, and cap off the week with a hallmark festival.
Below, you’ll find a full schedule of events for the week leading up to the Juicy Brews Valentine’s Day craft beer festival in Pittsburgh. We’ve limited attendance for the events so they don’t feel cramped so get your tickets soon. We hope you’ll be able to join us in a celebration of Pittsburgh and craft beer!
February 12th
Hop Culture and Tröegs Independent Brewing Present: Connect the Hops Workshop
Wigle Whiskey, 2401 Smallman St
7:00 – 9:00 PM Join us for a one-of-a-kind sensory immersion to learn about everyone’s favorite beer ingredient. We’ll try three hop-forward beers from Tröegs Independent Brewing including an exclusive preview of brand new year-round Hazy Pale Ale, Haze Charmer, Perpetual IPA and First Cut Mango IPA. You’ll discover what makes Tröegs’s beers citrusy, tropical, woody, resiny, herbal, earthy, spicy, grassy, and piney.
February 13th
Origin Malt x Hop Culture Beer Dinner
Cinderlands Warehouse, 2601 Smallman St
6:30 – 8:30 PM To showcase the unique flavors of well-crafted malt, we’re teaming up with Ohio-based Origin Malt for a progressive beer pairing dinner at Cinderlands Warehouse. Join Sara Hagerty from Origin Malt as well as Cinderlands, Four Points, and Grist House for an evening of thrilling discussion, good food, and great beer. During the evening, we’ll pair our three-course meal with three limited-edition beers made with Origin Malt from Cinderlands, Four Points, and Grist House. Because what better way to learn about the importance of quality malt than with a tasting?
February 14th
VIP Bottle Share & Marketing Panel Presented by Top Hat
Ace Hotel Pittsburgh, 120 S Whitfield St
6:30 – 9:00 PM This exclusive event is for those who bought VIP tickets to the tasting festival. We’ll be hosting a bottle share at Ace Hotel Pittsburgh with a brewer panel on social media moderated by Hop Culture’s Managing Editor, John Paradiso, and featuring several of the attending breweries as well as Top Hat, a Pittsburgh-based design studio that specializes in craft beer.
February 15th
Juicy Brews Valentine’s Day Beer Festival

Session 1: 1:00 – 4:30 PM // Session 2: 5:30 – 9:00 PM Grab a partner and celebrate love with our biggest East Coast festival ever! Hop Culture is renting out every public venue at Ace Hotel Pittsburgh for their most impressive invitational yet. We’ll have food from local vendors, unlimited pours of your favorite beers, music, and merch and glassware from designer Sam Taylor.
February 16th
Ales and Oms Beer Yoga
The Om Lounge, 218 N Highland Ave
10:00 – 11:30 AM To celebrate the Juicy Brews Valentine’s Day Craft Beer Festival, Hop Culture Magazine and Pittsburgh’s Om Lounge Yoga Studio are bringing back their popular Ales and Oms yoga series! On Sunday, 2/16/20, we’ll enjoy a fun, all-levels yoga class followed by an opportunity to meet your neighbors and enjoy some delicious adult beverages from Ever Grain Brewing in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. This event is 21+.
Juicy Brews Hangover Brunch
Marino’s American Eatery, 106 West Point Drive Suites 9-10, Greensburg
10:00 AM Nurse your Juicy Brews Valentine’s Day hangovers at Marino’s the morning after the festival. Expect a delicious menu of American food as well as a juicy draft list with beer from The Answer, Trillium, Obercreek, Grist House, Stick City, Four Points, Brew Gentlemen, Yellowbridge, Cinderlands, Hitchhiker, ShuBrew, and more.
