Beer of the Month Club, you ask?

The Hop Review has partnered with Chicago’s own Foxtrot Delivery Market, to bring a monthly, curated selection from some of our favorite breweries–and maybe a few that are new to you–right to your doorstep. The first week of each month, we’ll handpick beers, highlighting a common theme, style or brewery and showcase the selections right here on the site. (See below for membership details).

Be sure to purchase your subscription, via the link or app, by April 9 to receive this month’s box for just $35. Cheers!

For April 2016, Foxtrot and The Hop Review will be showcasing

Begyle Brewing Co.

Begyle Brewing, the Northcenter staple, has always positioned itself as a community supported brewery. While this statement couldn’t be more true, and the their taproom is always packed with locals, it’s high time for the masses to stand up and take notice. While you’ll always find something unique at the brewery, Begyle’s packaged goods showcase their ability to brew great beer across a range of styles. As we transition to warmer weather ahead, April’s BOTM package focuses on the lighter end of the spectrum. From blondes and wheat ales to DIPAs and black IPA’s this package has something for everyone and is a great introduction to a brewery you should be telling your friends about.

The Beers

Begyle Blonde

American Blonde ale – 5.4%ABV

This blonde kicks off with a biscuity, slightly sweet, malt backbone and finishes with a crisp bitterness. A perfectly balanced introduction to the Begyle lineup, as you taste your way into hoppier beers.

Free Bird

American Pale Ale – 5.6%

Next is this super dry, easy drinking APA. At first pour, the dank aroma presents itself immediately. Then, it mellows out nicely to become the most sessionable pale ale here.

Johnny Quest Thinks
We’re Sell Outs

Black India Pale Ale – 5.4%

Don’t be fooled by the dark color, this black IPA drinks light. A DryHop collab that’s unmistakably toasty and dry.

Crash Landed

Pale wheat ale – 7.0% ABV

A hopped up version of a traditional German wheat ale, with notes of banana, bubblegum & clove spice. This is the beer that introduced Chicago to this popular Northcenter brewery.

Hophazardly

Indian Pale Ale – 7.0%

A juicy IPA showcasing Citra and Simcoe hops. Citrus, resin, and light esters highlight this amber colored ale. Of these bottles, this is your hop bomb.

Don’t Bring
Me Down, Zeus!

Double India Pale Ale – 8.0%

This heavy hitter double IPA closes out the offering by presenting a sweet malt backbone to counterbalance the massive Bravo, Glacier & (namesake) Zeus hops.
