CHICAGO, IL

It’s all come down to this — from 64 to 2. With nearly a quarter million votes cast, the two remaining breweries in The Hop Review’s Chicago Brewery Bracket are Burnt City from the North and Noon Whistle from the Suburbs. We can’t say this is what we expected when this kicked off a month ago, but there’s no arguing with these votes. Both breweries dominated the competition in the Final 4 and now their fan bases will be put to the test to see who can garner the greatest support. Who will be crowned the Chicago Brewery Bracket Champion? We’ll find out in a few days.

Vote for your favorite between the remaining two breweries and we’ll tally the votes to determine our champion. Voting for the Championship concludes, Tuesday, 4/4 at 9am.

Burnt City Brewing (5) vs. Noon Whistle Brewing (12)

And here it is — the matchup none of us could have predicated to decide the Chicago Brewery Bracket champion. Despite their vastly different locations, there’s a common thread between these two breweries. Both have pushed out a solid lineup of year-round and seasonal cans in recent times, something that’s clearly appealed to their legions of fans. If you’re looking for a local milk stout to whet your appetite, we can’t recommend enough Burnt City’s Freight Handler and Noon Whistle’s Bernie, both two of the finer examples of the style around. But ultimately it will be the differences that decide this one, and most importantly, the votes of their fans. Will the city or suburbs reign supreme? Get your vote on now!

Voting is closed, stay tuned for results.

Best of luck to the two remaining breweries. It’s hard to pick a favorite Chicago beer maker as we all know, but hey, here’s your chance. Stay tuned as we tally the votes to determine who will take home the title of The Hop Review’s Chicago Brewery Bracket Champion.
