Welcome to a brand-new Hop Culture series designed to answer one simple question: What beers should I be drinking right now? Each month, we’re digging into the Hop Culture Shop to spotlight five standout beers (and boxes) that our team—and the wider beer community—can’t stop talking about. These aren’t just hype-driven picks or dusty shelf sitters. They’re fresh, highly rated, seasonally perfect releases that reflect what’s exciting in craft beer this moment.
This month, we’re unwrapping mystery, intrigue, and a little something super special if you read all the way to the end. From a jalapeno eye-popping fruited sour to a stunning cherry bomb of a wild ale, February was all about saying goodbye to Dry January (if you participated) and hello rest of it’s-going-to-be-an-amazing-and-adventerous drinking year.

If you want to drink like royalty, as we did this month, just hit the links below each pink to get these bad bois delivered right to your front door.

Hop Culture’s 5 Best Beers in the Shop This Month

Untappd Mystery Box (Hazy IPAs)

These boxes are perfect if you take a serious look at our Shop and have no idea where to start. But you do know that you love everything about hops. You love their smell; you love their taste; and you love that they just make you happy.

Last year, we dropped three new Mystery Style boxes in three varieties: Hazy, Pastry Stout, and Lager.

As we transition out of winter and into spring, we’re moving away from our Untappd Mystery Box (Pastry Stout) and into our Untappd Mystery Box (Hazy IPAs) because we’re seeing the sun poke through the snowy clouds; we’re shedding our winter sweaters and disregarding that Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this year.

In our mystery hazy IA box, we have a wide, constantly rotating selection of hazies from top breweries across the country. Just select six or twelve cans, and we’ll fill up a box with the very latest and greatest.

No muss, no fuss, just the good, hoppy stuff!

Mortalis Hydra Glizzy

Just Mortalis doing what they do best — ripping out hella crazy collabs that pack more fruit into the blender than a meathead making a protein smoothie after a four-hour-long workout. Speaking of, for Hydra Glizzy Mortalis collabed with Costanza Sausage on this fruited smoothie sour. Weird? Well, different certainly.

But that shouldn’t deter you. And here’s why:

Pineapple
Peach
Mango

And for the little twist….

Jalapeno.

All together, these ingredients form this “monster’s many heads,” according to Mortalis. “NO Glizzies were harmed in the making of this beer.”

Oh, and it doesn’t actually contain any meat.

Aslin Master of Karate

An OG Aslin favorite, Master of Karate hits your over the head with heavily dry-hopped Mosaic, Galaxy, and Amarillo.

Don’t call us karate kids, we’re full-on grown-up drinking adults.

As Aslin puts it, “Drink this beer fresh or we may nunchuck your a$$. Can you hear that? Chuck Norris may sneak up on you!”

Don’t let Chuck Norris sneak up on you; drink this beer.

de Garde The Kriek (Batch 10)

Do you love beer that knows no bounds, that takes the wild outdoors and captures it like lightning in a bottle? Perhaps no brewery in the Pacific Northwest makes wild ales better than de Garde.

With every batch of spontaneous beer, this Oregon-based brewery seems to capture elegance, nature, and just that little je ne sais quoi that’s hard to put your finger on.

The highly 4-star rated The Kriek (Batch 10) starts as a spontaneous wild ale with tart Montgomery & Morello Cherries, but ages for two years in oak barrels for a beer that’s equally stunning and spine-tingling.

Expect big notes of cherry shortcake (we’re pretty sure we just made up that dessert, but we think you get the gist), brown sugar, caramel, puckering lemon.

Untappd 8 Sips Glass

Yes, this isn’t technically a beer, but you need something fun to drink all these beers in, right? We just released this 8 Sips game glass this month, and we’re particularly proud of this one.

We are always looking for ways to gamify our adventures. We’re thrilled to share our newest experiment—8 Sips!

8 Sips is a straightforward drinking game, but the key is to execute every sip flawlessly. It’s (quite literally) the name of the game!

You score by getting your beer to settle within the bottle cap graphics that have numbers, tallying your score as you progress. You get 8 sips and can earn up to 100 points per round.

But watch out! There are challenges ahead. Steer clear of any ‘-5 points’, ‘lose a turn’, or ‘lose all your points’ spaces.

Every 8 Sips 16-ounce Tall Boy can glass features three distinct levels and all the rules.

And there’s no need for pen and paper. Keep track of points as you play at play.untappd.com
Once you complete all three levels, add up your points and crown the ultimate drinking champion!

Please drink responsibly.
