SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Fort Point Beer Company was founded in 2014 by brothers Tyler and Justin Catalana in the Presidio of San Francisco. The brewery resides in a historic Presidio building that was formerly used as an Army motor pool. Being situated in such an iconic landscape reinforces their pride in San Francisco and in the beer they brew. This is evident in their branding and packaging effort, as we recapped in a previous writeup.

Earlier this month, Fort Point announced the expansion of its packaged product line with 12oz. cans, with new packaging for KSA, Park, Villager and Westfalia now available in 6-packs at select retailers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The brewery also announced its new location, in San Francisco’s Ferry Building Marketplace, opening at the end of this year.

“We are excited to expand the reach of our product and the Fort Point brand”, said co-founder, Justin Catalana. “Cans will offer customers the opportunity to try different Fort Point styles and to take home a piece of our brewery.”

In its commitment to San Francisco craftsmanship, Fort Point commissioned local design firm Manual Creative to create the can’s unique artwork. As a nod to the company’s roots in the Presidio, elements of San Francisco’s culture and spirit are woven into the distinctive designs.
