The 25,000+ Highest-Rated Drinks, According to Untappd
Gold, silver, bronze.
March can mean many things:
🌷The first sign of spring
⚾The first crack of the bat as baseball season begins
⛹️♀️The first tingle of hearts breaking with broken NCAA March Madness brackets.
But in our neck of the woods, the third month of the year means one thing only: the return of the third annual Untappd Community Awards!
This year, the 2026 Untappd Community Awards, presented by Ekos brewery management software, tripled down on its mission to celebrate the Untappd community, honoring 25,510 of the world’s top-rated drinks from 7,140 producers across the globe.
🔝🍺 For its third year, they doled out awards to the top three drinks in all 268 qualifying substyles across all 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., and now the 100 countries with the most check-ins throughout 2025 (up from 50 countries last year).
📱Interested in seeing this year’s winners? Jump into the Untappd app or slide over to awards.untappd.com to check out all the award recipients.

Hop Culture’s 5 Top Award-Winning Beers in the Shop This Month
R.I.W.A.KA. – Sapwood Cellars Brewery
🥇Untappd Community Award: Gold – New Zealand IPA
The gold-medal-winning New Zealand IPA from hop-fanatic Sapwood Cellars Brewery (seriously, co-founder Scott Janish wrote the book on hoppy beers, The New IPA), is a liquid ode to this Southern Hemisphere hop.
A double IPA base gets hit with Riwaka early and late-harvest Freestyle pellets, a dose of double-concentrated Riwaka Cryo, and another of triple-concentrated Riwaka SubZero Hop Kief.
Packed with intense diesel and pink citrus, R.I.W.A.K.A. lives up to its all-caps name.
According to Sapwood Cellars, “It’s the most intense expression of Riwaka we’ve ever created!”
Foeder Foretold – Threes Brewing
🥇Untappd Community Award: Gold – Czech Amber Lager
A somewhat new category to Untappd, Czech Amber Lager (Polotmavé) doesn’t get as much love as it should. These slightly toasty, caramel-flecked Czech beers have been popping up all across the country.
Threes Brewing’s Foeder Foretold is an oak-aged 13° version with notes, according to the brewery, of “sassafras, Angelica root, and grapefruit peel.”
Hitting an incredible-for-this-category 4.05 on Untappd, Foeder Foretold claimed the top spots of all the Czech ambers in New York this year.
Tasman Sun – Foam Brewers
🥇Untappd Community Award: Gold – New Zealand Pilsner
New Zealand hops are proving to be golden. Snagging the top spot of all the New Zealand-style pilsners in Vermont, Tasman Sun expertly blends the best of those little green cones from the Southern Hemisphere—Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, and Riwaka—with both American and European pilsner malts.
Named to evoke the incredible beauty of the Nelson Tasman area (which we visited last year and can confirm is epic!), where you find many of these fantastic hops, Tasman Sun is a stunning homage to New Zealand.
Tiny Esses – Prairie Artisan Ales
🥈Untappd Community Award: Silver – Sour – Other
Bested only by its cousin Wild Esses in the “Sour – Other” category on Untappd, Tiny Esses slides into the second spot, earning a silver medal with a 4.11 rating on Untappd.
Diabolically brewed to mimic a bag of Skittles, this sour ale gets hit with the flavors of the rainbow we’ve all come to know and love.
Quirky, nostalgic, and endlessly fruity, Tiny Esses lights up all our taste buds.
Twilight – The Drowned Lands Brewery
🥉Untappd Community Award: Bronze – Black IPA
Up there with pumpkin beers and smoked beers, Black IPAs are a bit polarizing as a beer style. Still, those who love that sometimes clashing, sometimes harmonizing blend of hops and dark malts shout it from the rooftops – often sending these types of beers into the realm of cult followers.
If you’re one of those light and dark devotees, The Drowned Lands bronze-winning beer is for you.
Hopped with Citra and Centennial, along with a complement of darker malts, Twilight hits an impressive 3.95 rating on Untappd.
Don’t sleep on this sleeper hit.
