Back in the day when alcohol was banned during prohibition, most beer brands shut down. Budweiser, however, came out with an alcohol free beer that kept their brand alive. Now, they’re bringing it back.
Wasabi Beer
SweetWater Brewing of Atlanta, Georgia teamed up with Telluride Brewing of Telluride, Colorado to create a beer using sushi’s most pungent ingredient: wasabi. The beer, Torikumi, is a blonde ale with a light body to compliment the flavors of the plant.
New Brewmaster At Flying Dog
Flying Dog Brewery of Frederick, Maryland just named Ben Clarke as its new brewmaster. Clarke has been with Flying Dog for over a decade, and played a large role in the creation of their Brewhouse Rarities program.
Brewery Ommegang Collab
Brewery Ommegang of Cooperstown, New York is teaming up with Twisted Trunk Brewing of Palm Beach, Florida as well as the organization Captains for Clean Water to help combat the blue-green algae plaguing southern Florida. All proceeds from the sales of their Belgian-style Pils, Southbound, will go to the foundation.
